Billionaire Tax Proposition 40 Fight Leads to Propositions 41, 42
While there are 14 statewide propositions on the California ballot a few specific high-stakes measures are dominating media coverage, political spending, and campaign debates. The one most discussed is Proposition 40 referred to as the “Billionaire Tax” that lead to Propositions 41 and 42 which are counter measures to Proposition 40 from the opponents of the “billionaire tax.”
Proposition 39, Voter ID Constitutional Amendment
Proposition 39 would amend the California Constitution to require government-issued photo ID for in-person voting and ID verification (such as the last four digits of an ID) for mail-in ballots. The voter ID would be provided free from the state. The proposition orders election officials to verify citizenship and perform audits.

Finding a Place to Belong at Kid City Hope Place
Along Hope Street is a narrow courtyard behind a green fence, tucked in next to the California Children's Academy day care. With its colorful mural, landscaping, and outdoor seating, it looks a little like a pocket park. It wasn’t designed by a landscape architect. It was designed by teenagers. It's called the Breezeway, and it belongs to Kid City Hope Place.
