Primary Election June 2, 2026What You Need to Know
First, are you registered to vote in California?
If not, you can register online at - https://www.lavote.gov/home/voting-elections/voter-registration/register-to-vote/register - or if you are not sure if you are registered, click on the same link and then the “Check if you’re registered.”
Are you registered to vote at your current address?
If not, click the above link to update your registration address. If you do not update, your ballot will not contain the elected officials in your area.
Primary Election Dates
· Last day to register to vote in the primary is May 18, 2026.
· County officials begin mailing ballots on May 4, 2026.
· Ballot drop-off locations open on May 5, 2026. Check back to see the closest drop-off location to you. Most likely it is the Central Library at 630 W. 5th.
· Ballots can be returned by mail (no charge), at drop-off locations, or at country election offices.
· If you prefer to vote in person, vote centers for early in-person voting open on May 23, 2026. Locations have not been announced.
· Primary election is June 4, 2026.
March 4 is the last day to qualify for the primary ballot. Names of those running for each office will be listed in the SPNA March Scene Newsletter.

· Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Board of Education Districts 2, 4, and 6
