Just Food for Dogs (JFFD) was created ten years ago by Sean Buckley who wanted to transform the lives of dogs through scientifically backed, fresh, “human-grade” nutrition. I recently spoke with Misty Salan, lead Nutrition Consultant at JFFD’s DTLA store at 333 S. The normal kibble you find on store shelves from big name corporations is essentially carbohydrate that is produced for human convenience and ease and not for canine nourishment. “Most kibbles have a lot of sugar that leads to tooth decay and digestive problems in many dogs. If we are to be good parents to our dogs, we must question what we are giving them.” If you are going to continue with the dry food routine, she argues you should consider mixing in some Just Food For Dogs to increase the nourishment of each meal. “All of our food is cooked and comes in frozen packages.
