AHHH – A Spa in the Neighborhood
Oh, it was a long month of travel for me – flying and driving, lots of places and lodgings and experiences. I was thinking to myself it is time to recover and rejoin my normal life in LA when I looked up and saw the Luxe Luminary Spa sign lit up and the front door open. I walked in and walked out relaxed, rejuvenated, and ready to re-engage.
Luxe Luminary Spa opened in late October on Hope at 11th in the building with Ideology coffee, Michoacana ice cream, and Culturas restaurant. Check out their website - https://luxeluminaryspa.art/ - where you can book an appointment or call/message them at 213.939.9998.
Choose a massage for 25, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. Types of massages include deep tissue, sea salt hot stone, or try the 120-minute Head & Sole massage with a soothing foot soak, head spa and tension relieving full body massage. Or a Shell Spa using warmed shells to release muscle tension, or a stress relief scalp therapy with hair wash. I decided on a 90-minute classic body spa with added oils.
Linda Lou was my massage therapist. Her specialties are fascia blade therapy, sea salt hot stone, and relaxation massages. The promise to calm your mind, revive your energy, and escape into a world of calm is true. My massage did all of that.
Honestly, this was one of the best massages I have had, and I have had massages in various cities around the world. The pressure was perfect. Knots of stress were worked out. The hot towels on my face, feet, and body definitely released muscle tension and were comforting as well. I could not have asked for more…. except more time; I did not want the session to end.
The spa is warm, comfortable, inviting. Their door is always open, so pop in and have a look.
Is it time to treat yourself to a massage? You deserve some calm, relaxation, some “me” time. You might also want to treat a friend or family member. If so, check out their memberships which offer 10% off all treatments, and each month you can invite a friend or family member for a complimentary treatment (up to the same value as your spa service).
“Natural healing with modern luxury to rejuvenate your body and soul” is their promise. And they delivered!
