Give a Few Hours, Make a Huge Impact!
Are you seeking a fun and meaningful volunteer opportunity with a program that's making a positive impact on children and families right here in our neighborhood? Hope Street Margolis Family Center, a program of California Hospital Medical Center, provides educational, recreational and wellness resources to help low-income families thrive.
Their upcoming Summer of Science program - funded entirely through donor support - is designed to inspire STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) exploration for children ages 8-18 through hands-on learning, artistic and musical projects, and field trips.
Even if you only have a few hours on a weekday afternoon to give, you can connect with local students and support their personal growth, academic development, and future trajectories.
For more information, please visit hopestreetfamilycenter.org or contact Joseph Wright, Hope Street's Director of Operations, at 213-742-6033 or joseph.wright900@commonspirit.org.
P.S. The Summer of Science begins on June 20 with a BBQ at Griffith Park. Volunteers are needed. Volunteers are also needed Monday-Wednesday afternoons until July 21. Contact Joseph Wright if you can volunteer!!! It really is fun!
