Fiesta Michoacana – Open Now Ready to Satisfy your Sweet Tooth
South Park has a fascinating new business unlike any you’ve ever seen locally. Fiesta Michoacana, directly across from Luma Condominiums on Hope Street, offers an eclectic mix of just about anything and everything you have ever craved to eat! Their motto: “The Best Paleteria in the world with high gourmet quality.” What’s a paleteria? Stop by and find out!
When you go, you will find a menu that tries to satisfy every conceivable craving you might have. If you just want a cone, there are over 40 delicious flavors of ice cream, and if you want a little more, a banana split can max out your sugar intake for a week – just like the good old days. You can also find Mexican juice drinks, smoothies, frappuccinos, popsicles, and the like.
If you are looking for a meal, tortas, tostilocos, nachos and…. pizza will fill the bill. If you are really on the edge of culinary practice, there is a menu item I’m certain you will like: Cheetos con queso. Don’t tell your doctor.
I spoke with proprietors Lizbeth Soto and Adriana Cepeda who told me the shop is named after a region in Central Mexico, just south and east of Guadalajara best known for where Monarch butterflies hail from. Just walking in the door will beam you to a real Mexican, non-Americanized experience. There are several Fiesta Michoacan operations currently located in the LA basin that have an amazing following of native Mexicans and Gringos alike.
I was amazed at the vast variety of edibles available for instant consumption in this tiny shop. Let your imagination soar! Eat in or take it with you – your every craving can be instantly satisfied! Enjoy the best paleteria – ice cream parlor.
