Street Shots by John Nilsson

SPNA’s The Scene newsletter photographer, John Nilsson, is featured at the Los Angeles Center of Photography at 252 S. Los Angeles (take the Metro A or E train to the Historic Broadway stop, walk east on 2nd to Los Angeles, turn right).

The Los Angeles Street Collective is a group of photographers committed to visually capturing the spirit of Los Angeles. They photograph activity in public spaces. John is one of the street photographers featured in the exhibition.  The exhibit ends May 31.

One of his photos on display was taken at a fire at 11th and Hill and one is a bird’s eye view shot from his residence in South Park.  A third photo of visitors at the Griffith Observatory has won recognition in a national street photography contest and will be featured again during the month of May at the Helms Art Space in Culver City.
