March 5 Primary Election Results: Candidates Advance to November General Election

       Results of the March 5 Primary Election as of 3.19.24 are below. Mailed ballots are still being counted, and the election will not be certified until April 12 although no significant changes are expected.

U.S. Senate

Adam Schiff (D) 31.7%

Steve Garvey (R) 31.7%

U.S. House (37th District)

Sydney Kamlarger-Dove (D) 72.5% (wins the seat – no run-off)

Proposition #1 – State-wide - 6.38 billion-dollar bond to build facilities to provide 10,000 new treatment beds for substance-use disorders.

Passed statewide with 50.1%

State Assembly (57th District)

Efren Martinez (D)  32.7%

Sade Elhawary (D)  31.1%

District Attorney

George Gascon  25.2%

Nathan Hochman  15.9%

City Council District 14

Ysabel Jurado  24.52%

Kevin de Leon  23.39%
