Next Stop: Wine Station

The anticipated new wine bar, Wine Station, is opening its doors in South Park mid-May. The quaint space on the ground floor of Hope + Flower on the Hope Street side features intentionally designed communal tables, inviting a coterie of locals and friends to gather and toast.

Owner Thibaud Duccini is from the South of France and knows a bit about wine--it’s a longtime passion. A veteran in the L.A. food and wine scene, he was previously the GM of Wally’s in Beverly Hills and prior to that spent seven years at Patina. A resident of downtown for over 15 years, he understands that the blend of residents from all walks is what makes our metropolitan neighborhood unique, centering his concept around community.

The wine list will be composed of about 70% imported and 30% domestic selections. Price points will begin quite accessibly at around $10 and expand into a range of options from there. Expect a mix of classic French, Italian, and California wines, including rare bottles and older vintages that offer something for the most seasoned oenophiles or something special for those who want to celebrate. In addition to wine, the beverage menu will include a select few beers as well as low-ABV cocktails.

The dining menu will echo the wine program’s European influence, blending French and Italian cuisine. Guests will enjoy charcuterie and pizza, as well as heartier dishes like boeuf bourguignon and rotisserie chicken. Duccini’s vision, simply, is to create a neighborhood hub where people can gather, mingle, and feel at home while enjoying great food and wine.

The wine bar will be open Tuesday through Sunday evenings and Sunday during the day. I’m so excited to welcome Wine Station to the neighborhood!
