Monday, October 5 counties begin mailing ballots – every active registered voter is mailed a ballot
Tuesday, October 6 ballot drop-off locations open - Drop boxes are available to voters beginning 29 days before the election and drop boxes close at 8 pm on Election Day. Drop box locations are announced 30 to 40 days prior to the election. To find your closest drop box – click on LA County Registrar Drop Box Locator where you can search for confirmed ballot drop box sites, real-time collection details, and interactive maps across Los Angeles County.
Monday, October 19 deadline to register to vote - https://www.lavote.gov/home/voting-elections/voter-registration/register-to-vote/register - (you can still conditionally register/vote after that at any vote center)
Saturday, October 24 Vote Centers open – location of centers announced 30 to 40 days before the election. To find the closest location, search by address or neighborhood using the LAVote Vote Center Locator where you can view real time maps, addresses, operating hours, and estimated wait times for all voting locations across Los Angeles County. Note - Under California's Voter's Choice there are many vote centers, not fixed precinct polling places and you can vote at any vote center.
