Beauty Salon Suite Coming to South Park
A long vacant but recently remodeled early 1900’s building at 1042 S. Grand Ave. (between Olympic Blvd and 11th Ave) has recently been leased, according to Joe Bolognese, Saxum West, the leasing agent. Joe revealed the new tenant is bringing the popular “Beauty Salon Suite” concept to South Park, similar to the highly successful Salon Republic and Phoenix Salon businesses currently operating in SoCal. These “Luxury Salon Suites” offer finished salon facilities for the independent salon professional.
The 7,800 square foot space is slated to be built out in 100- to 200-square foot salons for independent beauty operators who will sublease the spaces on a weekly basis. The concept has provided variety and creativity and easy entry into the hair and beauty business and should provide an exciting, high traffic draw to the block which has already witnessed a revival with the advent of the weekly South Park Farmer’s Market held every Saturday. The new salon facility joins its immediate neighbor, The Showroom , also scheduled to open this summer. These new businesses promise to help make South Park along Grand Ave. a most active and exciting place!
